To ensure perfect tightness you can apply:

:: a thin layer of PTFE tape over the male thread;

:: a thin layer of PTFE sealant gel over the first threads to be sealed;

:: a thin layer of other types of sealer for plastic fittings;

Screw the parts fully but do not exert too much force. It will suffice to screw manually and then add ½ turn by means of a wrench.
When a wrench is used, it is advisable to place some soft material over it in order to avoid cutting into the surface.
In any case it is not necessary to tighten the fittings too much.
